Web Hosting:

For hosting, Two web hosting companies I am particulaly impressed with (and that I use) are 1and1 and Hostgator - if you are going to have multiple domains - then I'd say Hostgator has the edge. But both offer excellent service and support. 

Web Authoring Software:

My personal recommendation is XSite Pro.  This software was designed specifically for the Internet Marketeer in mind.  I use this myself having previously been using Frontpage - and found it much more user friendly and quicker to use.  Some tasks that took hours in Frontpage I can now do in 20 - 30 minutes. Most tasks can be done with Xsite Pro without the need of any HTML coding.

If you do know HTML code another excellent package I use is NoteTab.  This is a really powerful text editor that also has HTML coding.  I use the professional version - NoteTab Pro, but there is a light version which is free to download.  Click here to get a copy of Note Tab Light - you can always upgrade to the Pro version later if you like it.

Autoresponder

If you are serious about your online business, you are going to need to automate as many tasks as possible.  One of your biggest time theives is responding to all of your emails. Using an autoresponder can free up a lot of this time.

Keyword Tools

It's been said many times before and it will be said many times again and you'll hear it from everybody in Internet Marketing....

Keywords are the one single most important aspect of getting traffic to your site.  There are many keyword tools out there, but these are the ones I personally use and recommend

The first tool I used was overture's free keyword suggestion tool. Although free it doesn't have the tools to run deeper analysis on the results - for this I use:

Brainstorm Generator is nothing short of amazing, it finds profitable keywords and unheard of niches.  If you are looking for niches with a small search to result ratio (ie Profitable) this is the software that will find it. And it's so easy to use.

Keyword Elite:  this will allow you to quickly 'Snatch-Up' ALL the hottest keywords from all of the major Pay-Per-Click search engines and immediately optimize your website using the same 'Commando-Like Strategies' the big boys use to score top search engine rankings.  Hidden in this software is the ability to see exactly which adword keywords are making money for your competitors!
